The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the sky containing great stars 1 And the promised day, 2 And the witness and the witnessed, 3 may the people be condemned those who tortured (the believers) in ditches 4 the fire with its fuel, 5 when they were seated over it 6 And they themselves are witnesses to what they were doing to the Muslims! 7 Against these they had no grudge except that they believed in Allah, the Most Mighty, the Most Praiseworthy, 8 Him, Whose is the dominion of heavens and the earth. And Allah is over everything a Witness. 9 Those who persecute (or draw into temptation) the Believers, men and women, and do not turn in repentance, will have the Penalty of Hell: They will have the Penalty of the Burning Fire. 10 Those who believe, and do righteous deeds, for them await gardens underneath which rivers flow; that is the great triumph. 11 The grip of your Lord is indeed severe, 12 Surely He it is Who originates and reproduces, 13 and He is the All-forgiving, the All-loving, 14 Owner of the throne, the Glorious 15 Always doing whatever He wills. 16 Has not there come to you the story of the hosts, 17 Pharaoh and Thamood? 18 But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial, 19 However, God encompassed their activities. 20 It is indeed a glorious Quran, 21 upon an imperishable tablet [inscribed]. 22
