The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heavens with constellations, 1 And [by] the promised Day 2 And by oath of the day that is a witness and by oath of a day in which the people present themselves. 3 destroyed were the people of the trench, 4 of fire fiercely burning [for all who have attained to faith]! 5 while they themselves sat around it 6 And were themselves the witnesses of what they did to the believers. 7 Against these they had no grudge except that they believed in Allah, the Most Mighty, the Most Praiseworthy, 8 to whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. God is witness over all things. 9 Verily, those who put into trial the believing men and believing women (by torturing them and burning them), and then do not turn in repentance, (to Allah), will have the torment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the burning Fire. 10 As for the righteously striving believers, they will live in Paradise wherein streams flow. This is the greatest triumph. 11 Indeed, the vengeance of your Lord is severe. 12 it is He who begins and repeats [His creation], 13 He is the All-forgiving, the Most Loving One, 14 The Lord of the glorious Throne, 15 a sovereign doer of whatever He wills. 16 Have you not heard the story of the hosts 17 of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 But those who disbelieve are engaged in denial. 19 And Allah, all unseen, surroundeth them. 20 Nay, but this [divine writ which they reject] is a discourse sublime, 21 written on a preserved Tablet. 22
