The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the heaven with its impregnable castles; 1 By the Promised Day! 2 And by oath of the day that is a witness and by oath of a day in which the people present themselves. 3 THEY DESTROY [but] themselves, they who would ready a pit 4 the fire abounding in fuel, 5 Lo! [With glee do] they contemplate that [fire,] 6 And they were witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 whom they hated for no other reason than that they believed in God, the Almighty, the Praiseworthy, 8 God to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and God is Witness over everything. 9 Those who persecute the believers, men and women, and then have not repented, there awaits them the chastisement of Gehenna, and there awaits them the chastisement of the burning. 10 Verily, those who believe and do righteous good deeds, for them will be Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise). That is the great success. 11 Verily the grip of thine Lord is severe. 12 Surely it is He who originates, and brings again, 13 He is the forgiving and the loving, 14 Honorable Owner of the Throne, 15 Doer (without let) of all that He intends. 16 Has the story reached you of the hosts, 17 Of Pharaoh and the Thamud? 18 Nay! those who disbelieve are in (the act of) giving the lie to the truth. 19 And Allah encompasses them on every side. 20 It is indeed a glorious Quran, 21 Inscribed in a tablet preserved. 22
