The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By oath of the heaven which contains the constellations. 1 and by the promised Day, 2 And by oath of the day that is a witness and by oath of a day in which the people present themselves. 3 Cursed were the companions of the trench 4 the fire with its fuel, 5 When they sat by it, 6 to watch what they were doing to the believers, 7 And they did not take vengeance on them for aught except that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praised, 8 [and] to whom the dominion of the heavens and the earth belongs. But God is witness unto everything! 9 Verily, those who put into trial the believing men and believing women (by torturing them and burning them), and then do not turn in repentance, (to Allah), will have the torment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the burning Fire. 10 Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great attainment. 11 VERILY, thy Sustainer's grip is exceedingly strong! 12 Surely it is He who originates, and brings again, 13 And He alone is truly-forgiving, all-embracing in His love, 14 the Owner of the Throne, the Glorious One, 15 Performer of what He desires. 16 Have you not heard about the stories of the armies 17 Pharaoh and Thamood? 18 In fact the disbelievers are in denial. 19 And Allah, all unseen, surroundeth them. 20 Nay! This is a Glorious Quran, 21 that exists in a well-guarded tablet. 22
