The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By oath of the heaven which contains the constellations. 1 By the promised Day (of Judgment); 2 And by the Day witnessing and the Day witnessed, 3 slain were the Men of the Pit, 4 Of the fire (kept burning) with fuel, 5 When they were sitting near it 6 And they, to what they were doing against the believers, were witnesses. 7 Against these they had no grudge except that they believed in Allah, the Most Mighty, the Most Praiseworthy, 8 Him unto Whom belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is of all things the Witness. 9 Indeed those who troubled the Muslim men and Muslim women, and then did not repent – for them is the punishment of hell, and for them is the punishment of fire. 10 Lo! those who believe and do good works, theirs will be Gardens underneath which rivers flow. That is the Great Success. 11 Surely thy Lord's assault is terrible. 12 Indeed it is He Who initiates and redoes. 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 Doer (without let) of all that He intends. 16 Has there reached you the story of the soldiers - 17 Of Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and Thamud? 18 But those who disbelieve are engaged in denial. 19 And Allah encompasses them from behind! (i.e. all their deeds are within His Knowledge, and He will requite them for their deeds). 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Qur'an. 21 Inscribed in a tablet preserved. 22
