The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the sky with its constellations, 1 By the promised Day (of Judgment); 2 And by the Day witnessing and the Day witnessed, 3 may the people be condemned those who tortured (the believers) in ditches 4 the fire with its fuel, 5 Behold! they sat over against the (fire), 6 And they witnessed what they were doing against the believers (i.e. burning them). 7 And they persecuted them for naught save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praiseworthy 8 Him, Whose is the dominion of heavens and the earth. And Allah is over everything a Witness. 9 Those who persecuted the believing men and women and never repented, there is for them the punishment of Gehenna (Hell), and for them the punishment of the burning. 10 (But) for those who believe and do good works, for them there are Gardens underneath which rivers flow that is the Great Victory! 11 The grip of your Lord is severe indeed! 12 It is verily He who initiates and repeats. 13 And He is the Forgiving, and the Loving. 14 Honorable Owner of the Throne, 15 Doer of what He will. 16 HAS IT ever come within thy ken, the story of the [sinful] hosts 17 of the Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 And yet, they who are bent on denying the truth persist in giving it the lie: 19 And Allah is after them, has them surrounded. 20 Nay, this is a Glorious Qur'an, 21 inscribed on a well-guarded Tablet. 22
True are the words of God the Almighty.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
