The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the sky containing great stars 1 By the Promised Day! 2 And by the witness and that whereunto he beareth testimony, 3 Accursed be the People of the Ditch! 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel, 5 when they were seated around it 6 And they were witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 And what did they dislike from the Muslims, except that the Muslims accepted faith in Allah the Most Honourable, the Most Praiseworthy? 8 Whose kingdom spreads over the heavens and the earth. God is witness over everything. 9 Verily those who affected the believing men and the believing women, and then repented not, theirs shall be the torment of Hell, and theirs shall be the torment of burning. 10 As for the righteously striving believers, they will live in Paradise wherein streams flow. This is the greatest triumph. 11 Verily the grip of thine Lord is severe. 12 Verily, He it is Who begins (punishment) and repeats (punishment in the Hereafter) (or originates the creation of everything, and then repeats it on the Day of Resurrection). 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 Owner of the throne, the Glorious 15 He does what He intends (or wills). 16 Has the story reached you of the hosts, 17 Of Pharaoh and Thamud come to you? 18 The unbelievers are indeed engaged in denying it, calling it a lie, 19 although Allah surrounds them. 20 It is indeed a glorious Quran, 21 In the Preserved Tablet. 22
