The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the heaven adorned with big stars. 1 by the promised day, 2 By one that witnesses, and the subject of the witness;- 3 THEY DESTROY [but] themselves, they who would ready a pit 4 the fire abounding in fuel, 5 Behold! they sat over against the (fire), 6 Witnessing what they had done to the believers! 7 And they ill-treated them for no other reason than that they believed in Allah, Exalted in Power, Worthy of all Praise!- 8 Who, to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness over everything. 9 Verily, as for those who persecute believing men and believing women, and thereafter do not repent, hell's suffering awaits them: yea, suffering through fire awaits them! 10 Surely (as for) those who believe and do good, they shall have gardens beneath which rivers flow, that is the great achievement. 11 Indeed the seizure of your Lord is very severe. 12 It is verily He who initiates and repeats. 13 And He only is the Oft Forgiving, the Beloved of His bondmen. 14 in sublime almightiness enthroned, 15 Doer (without let) of all that He intends. 16 Has the story reached you of the hosts, 17 [Those of] Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 But those who disbelieve are engaged in denial. 19 But Allah doth encompass them from behind! 20 Nay! This is a Glorious Quran, 21 upon an imperishable tablet [inscribed]. 22
