The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the sky with its constellations, 1 And by the Promised Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection); 2 By one that witnesses, and the subject of the witness;- 3 the people of the pit were destroyed 4 of fire fiercely burning [for all who have attained to faith]! 5 while they themselves sat around it 6 And they, to what they were doing against the believers, were witnesses. 7 and their revenge on them was only because they believed in Allah, the Almighty, the Praised, 8 [and] to whom the dominion of the heavens and the earth belongs. But God is witness unto everything! 9 Those who persecute the believers, men and women, and then have not repented, there awaits them the chastisement of Gehenna, and there awaits them the chastisement of the burning. 10 Verily, those who believe and do righteous good deeds, for them will be Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise). That is the great success. 11 Surely thy Lord's assault is terrible. 12 He it is Who creates for the first time and He it is Who will create again, 13 and He is the Forgiving and Loving One. 14 The Lord of the glorious Throne, 15 Doer of what He will. 16 HAS IT ever come within thy ken, the story of the [sinful] hosts 17 the armies of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 In fact, the disbelievers had always rejected (Our revelations). 19 although Allah surrounds them. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Qur'an. 21 in a Guarded Tablet. 22
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
