The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heaven with its impregnable castles; 1 And by the Day promised, 2 and by the witness (Muhammad) and that which is witnessed (the Day of Judgment), 3 slain were the Men of the Pit, 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel, 5 As they sat around it 6 And to that which they did to the believers were witnesses. 7 The only reason for which they tormented the believers was the latter's belief in God, the Majestic, and Praiseworthy. 8 To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah, over all things, is Witness. 9 Those who persecute (or draw into temptation) the Believers, men and women, and do not turn in repentance, will have the Penalty of Hell: They will have the Penalty of the Burning Fire. 10 But those who believe and do good deeds shall be rewarded with gardens watered by flowing rivers. That is the supreme triumph. 11 Indeed, the vengeance of your Lord is severe. 12 Surely it is He who originates, and brings again, 13 and He is the All-forgiving, the All-loving, 14 Owner of the throne, the Glorious 15 Effecter of what He intends. 16 Has it come to you the story of the hosts 17 Of Pharaoh and (the tribe of) Thamud? 18 In fact the disbelievers are in denial. 19 And Allah encompasses them from behind! (i.e. all their deeds are within His Knowledge, and He will requite them for their deeds). 20 In fact it (what they deny) is the Noble Qur’an. 21 that exists in a well-guarded tablet. 22
