The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the sky, (displaying) the Zodiacal Signs; 1 And by the Promised Day. 2 And by the witness and that whereunto he beareth testimony, 3 The companions of the pit were killed 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel: 5 while they sat around it, 6 And to that which they did to the believers were witnesses. 7 whom they hate for no other reason than that they believe in God, the Almighty, the One to whom all praise is due, 8 to whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. God is witness over all things. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and believing women, and then do not repent, will surely suffer the punishment of Hell, and the torment of burning. 10 Verily those who believed and worked righteous works, theirs shall be Gardens whereunder the rivers flow; that is the supreme achievement. 11 Surely the might of your Lord is great. 12 It is verily He who initiates and repeats. 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 He does what He intends (or wills). 16 HAS IT ever come within thy ken, the story of the [sinful] hosts 17 of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Nay, but the unbelievers still cry lies, 19 And Allah encompasses them from behind! (i.e. all their deeds are within His Knowledge, and He will requite them for their deeds). 20 Indeed, this is a Glorious Koran, 21 In the Preserved Tablet. 22
