The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the heaven with its impregnable castles; 1 And by oath of the Promised Day. 2 And the witness and the witnessed, 3 Woe to the makers of the pit (of fire), 4 with fire abounding in fuel, 5 when they were seated over it 6 and were witnessing what they did to the believers. 7 They had nothing against them, except that they believed in Allah, the All-Mighty, Worthy of all Praise! 8 [and] to whom the dominion of the heavens and the earth belongs. But God is witness unto everything! 9 Surely those who tormented the believing men and the believing women and then did not repent, theirs shall be the chastisement of Hell, and theirs shall be the chastisement of burning. 10 Verily, those who believe and do righteous good deeds, for them will be Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise). That is the great success. 11 Stern indeed is your Lord's punishment. 12 Verily He! He it is who beginneth and repeateth it. 13 He is the forgiving and the loving, 14 Lord of the Throne, the Glorious, 15 and the Most Effective in His decision. 16 Hast thou received the story of the hosts, 17 (The armies of) Firaun and the tribe of Thamud. 18 The unbelievers are indeed engaged in denying it, calling it a lie, 19 However, God encompassed their activities. 20 Aye! it is a Recitation glorious, 21 (Preserved) on the guarded tablet. 22
