The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I swear by the mansions of the stars, 1 And the promised day, 2 And by oath of the day that is a witness and by oath of a day in which the people present themselves. 3 That accursed are the men of the trench 4 [Containing] the fire full of fuel, 5 When they sat by it 6 And they themselves are witnesses to what they were doing to the Muslims! 7 whom they hate for no other reason than that they believe in God, the Almighty, the One to whom all praise is due, 8 To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah, over all things, is Witness. 9 Indeed, those who have tortured the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire. 10 Surely (as for) those who believe and do good, they shall have gardens beneath which rivers flow, that is the great achievement. 11 The grip of your Lord is indeed severe, 12 It is He Who creates from the very beginning, and He can restore (life). 13 He is the forgiving and the loving, 14 Lord of the Throne, the All-glorious, 15 and the Most Effective in His decision. 16 Has there reached you the story of the soldiers - 17 [Those of] Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 And yet the Unbelievers (persist) in rejecting (the Truth)! 19 And Allah encompasses them from behind! (i.e. all their deeds are within His Knowledge, and He will requite them for their deeds). 20 Nay, but this [divine writ which they reject] is a discourse sublime, 21 inscribed on a well-guarded Tablet. 22
