The Comet (Al-Taareq)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the heaven, and the night-visitor, 1 And what can make you know what is the night comer? 2 It is the shining star -- 3 Over every soul there is a watcher. 4 Let man reflect on what he was created from. 5 Created from a gushing fluid. 6 that issues from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Surely He is able to bring him back 8 The day all secrets are examined 9 when he will be helpless, with no supporter. 10 By the sky (having rain clouds) which gives rain, again and again. 11 And the earth which splits (with the growth of trees and plants), 12 surely it is a decisive word; 13 And no trifle. 14 Indeed the disbelievers carry out their evil schemes. 15 But I am planning a plan. 16 Therefore respite the unbelievers, and delay them for a while. 17
