The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the heavens and al-tariq. 1 what do you know what the night-visitor is? 2 (It is) the Star of piercing brightness;- 3 [for] no human being has ever been left unguarded. 4 So man must consider from what he has been created. 5 Created from a gushing fluid. 6 Coming from between the back and the ribs. 7 God has certainly power to bring him back (from the dead). 8 On a Day whereon secrets shall be out. 9 Then will (man) have no power, nor any helper. 10 By heaven of the returning rain, 11 and the earth, bursting forth with plants! 12 That this (Qur'an) is a decisive word 13 And is not a matter of amusement. 14 Surely they will make a scheme, 15 And I (too) am planning a plan. 16 Therefore respite the unbelievers, and delay them for a while. 17
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
