The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I swear by the heaven and the comer by night; 1 What could let you know what the nightly comer is! 2 It is the star that pierces through [life's] darkness: 3 There is not a soul but over it is a keeper. 4 So let man consider from what he is created. 5 He was created from a fluid, ejected, 6 That issueth from between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 Surely, He is Able to bring him back, 8 On the day when all secrets will be made public, 9 he will have no power, nor anyone to help him. 10 By heaven of the returning rain, 11 And by the earth which splitteth, 12 BEHOLD, this [divine writ] is indeed a word that distinguishes between truth and falsehood, 13 And it is not a thing for amusement. 14 Indeed, they are planning a plan, 15 and so am I: 16 So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal thou gently with them for a while. 17
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
