The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By oath of the heaven, and by oath of the nightly arriver. 1 And what will explain to thee what the Night-Visitant is?- 2 It is the piercing star. 3 There is no living being but there is a protector over it. 4 So let man look - from what is he created. 5 He was created from a fluid, ejected, 6 emanating from between the loins and the ribs. 7 God has certainly power to bring him back (from the dead). 8 On the Day when secrets are disclosed, 9 Then he shall have no power nor any helper. 10 By the heaven which returneth, 11 And by the Earth which opens out (for the gushing of springs or the sprouting of vegetation),- 12 Verily, it is a discourse distinguishing. 13 It is not a thing for amusement. 14 They are planning a scheme, 15 And I am planning a scheme. 16 Give respite to the disbelievers and leave them alone for a while. 17
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Comet (Al-Taareq). Sent down in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
