The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the heaven, and At-Tariq (the night-comer, i.e. the bright star); 1 - Ah, what will tell thee what the Morning Star is! 2 It is the star that shines with a piercing brightness -- 3 [for] no human being has been left unguarded. 4 LET MAN, then, observe out of what he has been created: 5 He was created from ejaculated water 6 emanating from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Surely, He is Able to bring him back, 8 On the day when hidden thoughts shall be searched out. 9 he shall have no power, and no helper. 10 By the rotating heavens 11 And by the earth which splitteth, 12 Most surely it is a decisive word, 13 It is no pleasantry. 14 Verily they are plotting a plot. 15 And I (too) will make a scheme. 16 So respite the unbelievers; delay with them awhile. 17
Almighty Allah's Truth.
