The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the heaven, and At-Tariq (the night-comer, i.e. the bright star); 1 And what will explain to thee what the Night-Visitant is?- 2 It is the piercing star - 3 For every soul there is a watcher. 4 So let man consider of what he is created: 5 He is created of water pouring forth, 6 which comes out of the loins and ribs. 7 Lo! He verily is Able to return him (unto life) 8 The day all secrets are examined 9 He shall have neither strength nor helper. 10 By the heaven with its recurring cycle of rain, 11 And by the Earth which opens out (for the gushing of springs or the sprouting of vegetation),- 12 Verily! This (the Quran) is the Word that separates (the truth from falsehood, and commands strict legal laws for mankind to cut the roots of evil). 13 And is not a matter of amusement. 14 Indeed, they are planning a plan, 15 But I am planning a plan. 16 So allow time for the disbelievers. Leave them awhile. 17
God the Almighty always says the truth.
