The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the heaven, and At-Tariq (the night-comer, i.e. the bright star); 1 And what could make thee conceive what it is that comes in the night? 2 (It is) the star of piercing brightness; 3 No human soul but hath a guardian over it. 4 LET MAN, then, observe out of what he has been created: 5 He was created of spurting water 6 That is issued from between the backs and the ribs. 7 Most surely He is able to return him (to life). 8 A day when the secrets will be examined. 9 when he will be helpless, with no supporter. 10 By oath of the sky from which comes down the rain. 11 And the earth which opens up (with verdure), 12 surely it is a decisive word; 13 And it is not amusement. 14 They are planning a scheme, 15 and I am cunningly devising. 16 Therefore respite the unbelievers, and delay them for a while. 17
True are the words of God the Almighty.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
