The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

By the heaven and the night-comer 1 And what will make you know what the comer by night is? 2 The very brightly shining star! 3 No human soul but hath a guardian over it. 4 So let man observe from what he was created. 5 He has been created from an ejected drop of fluid 6 which comes out of the loins and ribs. 7 Most surely He is able to return him (to life). 8 on the Day when all secrets will be laid bare, 9 he will have no power, nor anyone to help him. 10 By the sky which returns [rain] 11 And by the earth which splitteth, 12 Indeed the Qur’an is a decisive Word. 13 and is not to be taken lightly. 14 They are planning a scheme, 15 and I am devising guile. 16 So bear with unbelievers with patience, and give them respite for a while. 17

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
