The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heaven, and At-Tariq (the night-comer, i.e. the bright star); 1 what do you know what the night-visitor is? 2 (It is a nightly radiant star). 3 There is no human being but has a protector over him (or her) (i.e. angels incharge of each human being guarding him, writing his good and bad deeds, etc.) 4 So let man consider of what he was created. 5 He was created from spurting fluid, 6 issuing from between the loins [of man] and the pelvic arch [of woman]. 7 Verily He is Able to restore him, 8 On a Day whereon secrets shall be out. 9 So man will neither have any strength nor any aide. 10 By the sky (having rain clouds) which gives rain, again and again. 11 And by the earth which splitteth, 12 Most surely it is a decisive word, 13 It is not a thing for amusement. 14 Surely they will make a scheme, 15 And I (too) will make a scheme. 16 so bear with those who deny the truth, and let them be for a little while. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
