The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heaven and the night-comer 1 what do you know what the night-visitor is? 2 It is the shining star -- 3 There is no soul but has a protector over it. 4 LET MAN, then, observe out of what he has been created: 5 He was created from a fluid, ejected, 6 emanating from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Surely (Allah) is able to bring him back (to life)! 8 On the Day when man's deepest secrets shall be put to the test 9 and he shall have no strength, no helper. 10 By the Firmament which returns (in its round), 11 by the earth cracking open with new growth. 12 the Quran is the final word, 13 And is not a matter of amusement. 14 Verily they are plotting a plot. 15 but I too plan against them. 16 so bear with those who deny the truth, and let them be for a little while. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
