Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heavens and al-tariq. 1 And what can make you know what is the night comer? 2 (It is) the star of piercing brightness; 3 [for] no human being has ever been left unguarded. 4 So let man consider of what he is created: 5 He is created of water pouring forth, 6 That issued from between the loins and ribs. 7 God has all power to resurrect him. 8 upon the day when the secrets are tried, 9 Then will (man) have no power, nor any helper. 10 I swear by the raingiving heavens, 11 And by oath of the earth which flourishes with it. 12 Most surely it is a decisive word, 13 And it is not amusement. 14 Lo! they plot a plot (against thee, O Muhammad) 15 And I (too) will make a scheme. 16 Give respite to the disbelievers and leave them alone for a while. 17
God the Almighty always says the truth.
