The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the heavens and al-tariq. 1 and what could make you know what it is that comes in the night? 2 It is the shining star -- 3 For every soul there is a watcher. 4 So let man consider of what he was created; 5 He was created from ejaculated water 6 emanating from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Surely He is able to bring him back 8 upon the day when the secrets are tried, 9 He shall have neither strength nor helper. 10 By the sky which returns [rain] 11 And the earth which opens up (with verdure), 12 surely it is a decisive word; 13 And it is not a thing for amusement. 14 Surely they will make a scheme, 15 But I too am devising a plan. 16 So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal you gently with them for a while. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
