Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I swear by the heaven and the comer by night; 1 And what can make you know what is the night comer? 2 The star of piercing brightness; 3 [for] no human being has been left unguarded. 4 So let man look - from what is he created. 5 He is created from a drop emitted- 6 issuing from between the loins [of man] and the pelvic arch [of woman]. 7 Surely (Allah) is able to bring him back (to life)! 8 The day all secrets are examined 9 He will have no strength or helper. 10 By the rotating heavens 11 and the replenishing earth, 12 It is surely a decisive utterance; 13 and is not to be taken lightly. 14 They are planning a scheme, 15 and I am cunningly devising. 16 So grant the unbelievers a respite: let them alone for a while. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
