The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heaven, and the night-visitor, 1 And what will make you to know what At-Tariq (night-comer) is? 2 The very brightly shining star! 3 No soul is there but hath over it a watcher. 4 So man must consider from what he has been created. 5 He was created from a fluid, ejected, 6 Coming from between the back and the ribs. 7 Indeed, Allah, to return him [to life], is Able. 8 On the day when all secrets will be made public, 9 when he will be helpless, with no supporter. 10 By the sky with its returning rain, 11 And by the Earth which opens out (for the gushing of springs or the sprouting of vegetation),- 12 Lo! this (Qur'an) is a conclusive word, 13 And no trifle. 14 Behold, they [who refuse to accept it] devise many a false argument [to disprove its truth]; 15 And I am plotting a plot. 16 Therefore give them some respite give them some time. 17
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Comet (Al-Taareq). Sent down in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
