Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the heaven and the Morning Star 1 What could let you know what the nightly comer is! 2 The star of piercing brightness; 3 There is no human being but has a protector over him (or her) (i.e. angels incharge of each human being guarding him, writing his good and bad deeds, etc.) 4 LET MAN, then, observe out of what he has been created: 5 Created from a gushing fluid. 6 Issuing from (the pelvis) between the backbone and the ribs. 7 Lo! He verily is Able to return him (unto life) 8 The Day when secrets will be put on trial, 9 Then will (man) have no power, nor any helper. 10 By oath of the sky from which comes down the rain. 11 and the replenishing earth, 12 Lo! this (Qur'an) is a conclusive word, 13 And it is not a thing for amusement. 14 They are devising guile, 15 And I am plotting a plot. 16 So respite thou the infidels - respite them gently, 17
God the Almighty always says the truth.
