The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

I CALL TO witness the heavens and the night Star -- 1 And what can make you know what is the night comer? 2 - The piercing Star! 3 There is not a soul but over it is a keeper. 4 Let the human reflect of what he is created. 5 Created from a gushing fluid. 6 that issues from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Indeed Allah is Able to return him. 8 On a Day whereon secrets shall be out. 9 Then will (man) have no power, nor any helper. 10 By the rotating heavens 11 And by oath of the earth which flourishes with it. 12 Most surely it is a decisive word, 13 And it is no joke. 14 Verily they are plotting a plot. 15 and I too am devising a guile. 16 So respite thou the infidels - respite them gently, 17

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
