The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the sky and the night comer - 1 How will you comprehend what the night star is? 2 (It is a nightly radiant star). 3 There is no soul but has a protector over it. 4 So man must consider from what he has been created. 5 He is created from a water gushing forth. 6 issuing between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 God has certainly power to bring him back (from the dead). 8 On the Day when secrets are disclosed, 9 (Man) will have no power, and no helper. 10 By the heaven with its recurring cycle of rain, 11 and by the earth ever bursting with verdure, 12 this (Qur'an) is surely a decisive Word, 13 It is no pleasantry. 14 They are planning a scheme, 15 and I am devising guile. 16 So leave the unbelievers to themselves; respite them awhile. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
