The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who created and proportioned 2 Who measureth, then guideth; 3 And Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 then turns it into black stubble. 5 We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget 6 except what Allah should wish. He knows all that is manifest and all that is hidden. 7 And We will make your way smooth to a state of ease. 8 So remind, if the reminder should benefit; 9 The reminder will be received by him who fears (Allah), 10 But it will be avoided by the wretched, 11 and suffer the heat of the great fire 12 Wherein he will neither die nor live. 13 Lasting happiness will be for those who purify themselves, 14 And recites the name of his Lord and serves with devotion. 15 But you prefer the present life, 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Verily! This is in the former Scriptures, 18 The scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
