The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Exalt the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 who created and shaped, 2 who determined and guided, 3 Who brings out the pastures 4 And then makes it dark stubble. 5 By degrees shall We teach thee to declare (the Message), so thou shalt not forget, 6 Except what Allah should will. Indeed, He knows what is declared and what is hidden. 7 We shall make all your tasks easy. 8 Wherefore admonish thou; admonition hath surely profited, 9 He will heed who feareth, 10 but it will be ignored by the most unfortunate, 11 He will be cast into the Great Fire. 12 Wherein he will neither die (to be in rest) nor live (a good living). 13 He indeed hath attained bliss who hath cleansed himself, 14 remember the name of the Lord, and pray to Him. 15 But nay, [O men,] you prefer the life of this world, 16 whereas the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 This indeed is what is taught in the former scriptures -- 18 the Scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
