The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of thy Guardian-Lord Most High, 1 Who hath created, and further, given order and proportion; 2 And Who makes (things) according to a measure, then guides (them to their goal), 3 who brings forth green pasture, 4 and then made it into a blackish straw. 5 We shall make you recite so that you will not forget, 6 Unless God may please. He knows the visible and knows what is hidden. 7 And We shall make easy for you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the easy way (i.e. the doing of righteous deeds). 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder benefits, 9 He who fears [Allah] will be reminded. 10 But it will be avoided by those most unfortunate ones, 11 He who shall roast into the Great Fire, 12 wherein he will neither die nor remain alive. 13 Indeed whosoever purifies himself (by avoiding polytheism and accepting Islamic Monotheism) shall achieve success, 14 remembering his Lord's name and praying. 15 But you prefer the life of this world, 16 and the world to come is better, and more enduring. 17 Verily! This is in the former Scriptures, 18 the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
