The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Hallow thou the name of thine Lord, the Most High, 1 Who creates and proportions, 2 And Who makes (things) according to a measure, then guides (them to their goal), 3 And Who brings forth herbage, 4 Then reduces them to rusty rubbish. 5 We shall make you recite so that you will not forget, 6 except what Allah should wish. He knows all that is manifest and all that is hidden. 7 and [thus] shall We make easy for thee the path towards [ultimate] ease. 8 Therefore, keep on preaching as long as it is of benefit. 9 Those who have fear of God will benefit 10 But the most hapless will flout it, 11 and suffer the heat of the great fire 12 Wherein he will neither die (to be in rest) nor live (a good living). 13 But those will prosper who purify themselves, 14 And mentions the name of his Lord and prays. 15 But nay, [O men,] you prefer the life of this world, 16 Though the life to come is better and abiding. 17 And this is in the Books of the earliest (Revelation),- 18 the scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
