The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ (Muhammad), glorify the Name of your lord, the Most High, 1 Who created all things and fashioned them in good proportion; 2 who determines the nature [of all that exists], and guided it accordingly; 3 And Who brings out the pasturage, 4 then turns it into black stubble. 5 We shall teach you (the Quran) and you will not forget it 6 unless God wills it to be otherwise. He knows all that is made public and all that remains hidden. 7 And We shall ease thy way unto the state of ease. 8 Therefore do remind, surely reminding does profit. 9 He who fears will mind, 10 but the wretched will turn away from it. 11 Who will enter the great Fire and made to taste its burning, 12 Wherein he will neither die (to be in rest) nor live (a good living). 13 He indeed shall be successful who purifies himself, 14 And recites the name of his Lord and serves with devotion. 15 Nay (behold), ye prefer the life of this world; 16 But the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 Surely, this is in the ancient Scrolls, 18 the Scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
