Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Exalt the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 who has created and shaped, 2 And who destined and [then] guided 3 And Who brings out the pasturage, 4 and then made it into a blackish straw. 5 We shall make you recite (the Qur'an) so that you will not forget it, 6 Save that which Allah may will. Verily He knoweth the public and that which is hidden. 7 And We shall ease thy way unto the state of ease. 8 REMIND, THEN, [others of the truth, regardless of] whether this reminding [would seem to] be of use [or not]: 9 The admonition will be received by those who fear (Allah): 10 but it will be ignored by the most unfortunate, 11 [He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire, 12 Neither dying therein nor living. 13 Prosperous is he who purifies himself, 14 And mentions the name of his Lord and prays. 15 Nay! you prefer the life of this world, 16 and the world to come is better, and more enduring. 17 This is surely in the earlier Books, 18 the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
