The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 Who has created (all things) proportionately, 2 Who determines and directs, 3 Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 and thereupon causes it to decay into rust-brown stubble! 5 By degrees shall We teach thee to declare (the Message), so thou shalt not forget, 6 Save that which Allah willeth. Lo! He knoweth the disclosed and that which still is hidden; 7 We shall ease thee unto the Easing. 8 So render good counsel if good counsel will avail. 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 And the most wicked will stay away from it. 11 who will roast in the Great Fire, 12 Wherein he will neither die nor live. 13 He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself 14 remember the name of the Lord, and pray to Him. 15 Nay (behold), ye prefer the life of this world; 16 and the world to come is better, and more enduring. 17 Surely this is in the ancient scrolls, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
