The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Praise the name of thy Lord the Most High, 1 Who has created (everything), and then proportioned it; 2 Who hath ordained laws. And granted guidance; 3 And Who brings out the pasturage, 4 and then made it into a blackish straw. 5 [O Prophet!] We shall make you recite the Quran so that you will not forget any of it -- 6 Save that which Allah may will. Verily He knoweth the public and that which is hidden. 7 We shall ease you to the easy. 8 Wherefore admonish thou; admonition hath surely profited, 9 He who fears [God] will heed the reminder, 10 but the most wretched shall flout it, 11 Who will burn in the terrible Fire, 12 where he will neither die nor live. 13 He who purifies himself, 14 And who mentioned the name of his Lord, then offered prayer. 15 But you prefer the life of this world, 16 While the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 Surely, this is in the ancient Scrolls, 18 Writs of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
