The All High (Al-A'alaa)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ GLORIFY THE NAME of your Lord, most high, 1 who has created and shaped, 2 who determined and guided, 3 And Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 then turns it into black stubble. 5 We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget, 6 unless God wills it to be otherwise. He knows all that is made public and all that remains hidden. 7 And We shall create the means of ease for you. 8 Therefore, keep on preaching as long as it is of benefit. 9 He who fears [Allah] will be reminded. 10 but the most wretched shall flout it, 11 he who [in the life to come] shall have to endure the great fire 12 Wherein he will neither die (to be in rest) nor live (a good living). 13 He is successful who groweth, 14 and remembers his Sustainer's name, and prays [unto Him]. 15 But ye prefer the life of this world, 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Most surely this is in the earlier scriptures, 18 In the Books of Ibrahim and Moosa. 19
