The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 who created all things and gave them due proportions, 2 Who determines and directs, 3 who brings forth green pasture, 4 then made it dry dark, flaky stubble, 5 [O Prophet!] We shall make you recite the Quran so that you will not forget any of it -- 6 unless God wills it to be otherwise. He knows all that is made public and all that remains hidden. 7 We shall ease thee unto the Easing. 8 Remind, if the reminder can be of benefit. 9 in mind will keep it he who stands in awe [of God,] 10 but it will be ignored by the most unfortunate, 11 who will roast in the Great Fire, 12 wherein they will neither live nor die. 13 Surely he will succeed who grows in goodness, 14 and remembers his Sustainer's name, and prays [unto Him]. 15 But you prefer the worldly life, 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Verily, [all] this has indeed been [said] in the earlier revelations 18 The scriptures of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
