The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who has created (all things) proportionately, 2 And Who has measured (preordainments for each and everything even to be blessed or wretched); then guided (i.e. showed mankind the right as well as wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture); 3 and who brings forth herbage, 4 then made it a blackening wrack. 5 We shall make thee recite, to forget not 6 Unless God may please. He knows the visible and knows what is hidden. 7 And We shall make easy unto thee the easy way. 8 Therefore, keep on preaching as long as it is of benefit. 9 The admonition will be received by those who fear (Allah): 10 but aloof from it will remain that most hapless wretch 11 who will roast in the Great Fire, 12 Wherein he shall neither die nor live, 13 Surely he will succeed who grows in goodness, 14 And who mentioned the name of his Lord, then offered prayer. 15 But nay, [O men,] you prefer the life of this world, 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Verily this is in Writs ancient 18 the scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
