The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who creates and proportions, 2 who determined and guided, 3 who brings forth the pastures, 4 Then made it dry and dark. 5 We shall now make you read (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), so you will not forget. 6 Save that which Allah willeth. Lo! He knoweth the disclosed and that which still is hidden; 7 And We shall create the means of ease for you. 8 So remind, if the reminder should benefit; 9 He who fears [God] will heed the reminder, 10 Only the wretch will turn aside, 11 [He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire, 12 In which they will then neither die nor live. 13 Indeed whosoever purifies himself (by avoiding polytheism and accepting Islamic Monotheism) shall achieve success, 14 And who remembereth the name of his Lord, and then prayeth. 15 Nay, you prefer the life of this world; 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Most surely this is in the earlier scriptures, 18 the scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
