Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Exalt the Name of your Lord, the Highest, 1 Who hath created and then proportioned, 2 And Who hath disposed and then guided, 3 And Who brings forth herbage, 4 And then doth make it (but) swarthy stubble. 5 We shall make you recite (the Qur'an) so that you will not forget it, 6 Except what Allah should will. Indeed, He knows what is declared and what is hidden. 7 and [thus] shall We make easy for thee the path towards [ultimate] ease. 8 So remind them if reminder is profitable: 9 Soon whoever fears will heed advice. 10 but the most wretched shall avoid it, 11 He will be cast into the Great Fire. 12 Then he neither dies in it, nor lives. 13 He who purifies himself, 14 And remembers (glorifies) the Name of his Lord (worships none but Allah), and prays (five compulsory prayers and Nawafil additional prayers). 15 No; but you prefer the present life, 16 and the world to come is better, and more enduring. 17 Verily this is in Writs ancient 18 The scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.
