Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Magnify the Name of thy Lord the Most High 1 Who creates and proportions, 2 And who destined and [then] guided 3 And Who bringeth out the (green and luscious) pasture, 4 And [then] makes it black stubble. 5 We shall make you recite and then you will not forget, 6 Except what Allah wills; indeed He knows all the evident and all the concealed. 7 We shall take you slowly towards ease. 8 Therefore give admonition in case the admonition profits (the hearer). 9 He will heed who feareth, 10 but the most wretched shall flout it, 11 and suffer the heat of the great fire 12 wherein they will neither live nor die. 13 Indeed successful is the one who became pure. 14 remembering his Lord's name and praying. 15 But you prefer the worldly life, 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Lo! This is in the former scrolls. 18 the Scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
