The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who creates and proportions, 2 And who destined and [then] guided 3 And Who bringeth out the (green and luscious) pasture, 4 then caused it to wither away. 5 We shall enable thee to recite, and then thou shalt not forget, 6 except whatever God wills; He knows both what is manifest and what is hidden -- 7 And We will ease you toward ease. 8 So render good counsel if good counsel will avail. 9 in mind will keep it he who stands in awe [of God,] 10 but the most wretched shall flout it, 11 [He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire, 12 in which he will neither die nor live therein. 13 He who purifies himself, 14 And remembereth the name of his Lord, so prayeth, 15 Nay, you prefer the life of this world; 16 even though the life hereafter will be better and will last forever. 17 Verily, [all] this has indeed been [said] in the earlier revelations 18 the scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
