The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who has created (all things) proportionately, 2 who determined and guided, 3 who brings forth green pasture, 4 then made it dry dark, flaky stubble, 5 We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget 6 save what God may will [thee to forget] - for, verily, He [alone] knows all that is open to [man's] perception as well as all that is hidden [from it] 7 And We shall create the means of ease for you. 8 Wherefore admonish thou; admonition hath surely profited, 9 Those who fear will understand. 10 Only the wretch will turn aside, 11 He will be cast into the Great Fire. 12 Wherein he shall neither die nor live, 13 Lasting happiness will be for those who purify themselves, 14 and remembers his Sustainer's name, and prays [unto Him]. 15 Nay, you prefer the life of this world; 16 While the hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Surely, this is in the ancient Scrolls, 18 the scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
