The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Glorify the name of thy Guardian-Lord Most High, 1 Who hath created, and further, given order and proportion; 2 decreed their destinies, and provided them with guidance. 3 And Who brings forth herbage, 4 And [then] makes it black stubble. 5 We shall enable thee to recite, and then thou shalt not forget, 6 except what Allah should wish. He knows all that is manifest and all that is hidden. 7 And We will make your way smooth to a state of ease. 8 Therefore give admonition in case the admonition profits (the hearer). 9 He will heed who feareth, 10 but the most wretched shall flout it, 11 who will roast in the Great Fire, 12 Then therein he shall neither live nor die. 13 He who purifies himself, 14 remembering his Lord's name and praying. 15 But you prefer the worldly life, 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 This indeed is what is taught in the former scriptures -- 18 the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
