The All High (Al-A'alaa)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who created and proportioned 2 Who determined and guided them, 3 It is He who has caused the grass to grow, 4 and thereupon causes it to decay into rust-brown stubble! 5 We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget 6 Except what Allah should will. Indeed, He knows what is declared and what is hidden. 7 We shall ease you to follow the way of Ease. 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder benefits, 9 He will heed who feareth, 10 And the most unfortunate one will avoid it, 11 he who [in the life to come] shall have to endure the great fire 12 where he will neither die nor live. 13 To happiness [in the life to come] will indeed attain he who attains to purity [in this world,] 14 and remembers his Sustainer's name, and prays [unto Him]. 15 But rather you prefer the life of this world! 16 although the life to come is better and more enduring. 17 Verily! This is in the former Scriptures, 18 In the Books of Ibrahim and Moosa. 19
