Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Has not there come to you the news of the overwhelming calamity? 1 On that Day, there shall be downcast faces, 2 troubled and tired as a result of their deeds in the past. 3 Scorched by burning fire, 4 Made to drink water from the boiling hot spring. 5 no food for them but cactus thorn 6 which will neither fatten them nor satisfy them. 7 On that very Day some faces shall be radiant with joy, 8 well pleased with the result of their striving, 9 In the high empyrean, 10 wherein they shall hear no vain talk. 11 Therein is a fountain flowing, 12 raised couches, 13 And goblets set at hand 14 cushions ranged, 15 and carpets outspread. 16 Will they not then consider the camels, how they are created? 17 how the heavens are raised up high, 18 And at the Mountains, how they are fixed firm?- 19 And how the earth was outstretched? 20 Admonish thou then; thou art but an admonisher. 21 You are not charged to oversee them. 22 But if any turn away and reject Allah,- 23 In which case he will be punished by God with the severest punishment. 24 For to Us will be their return; 25 and then it is for Us to call them to account. 26
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
