Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
HAS THERE COME unto thee the tiding of the Overshadowing Event? 1 Some faces, that Day, will be humiliated, 2 labouring, toilworn, 3 (Yet) Going into the blazing fire. 4 Drinking from a boiling spring, 5 No food will there be for them but a bitter Dhari' 6 which gives no strength and neither stills hunger. 7 (Other) faces that Day will be joyful, 8 well pleased with the result of their striving, 9 In a lofty garden, 10 wherein they shall hear no vain talk. 11 Therein shall be a spring running! 12 therein uplifted couches 13 And cups put in place 14 And cushions lined up 15 and rich carpets levelled out. 16 What, do they not reflect upon how the camel was created? 17 And the heaven how it has been raised? 18 And the mountains, how they are firmly fixed, 19 And at the earth - how it is spread out? 20 (Muhammad), preach; you are only a preacher. 21 Thou art not at all a warder over them. 22 Other than him who turns his back and denies, 23 Allah will punish him with a mighty Punishment, 24 Truly, to Us is their return; 25 then upon Us shall rest their reckoning. 26
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
